Arpie's July 2010 Newsletter
At Northside, we partner with Arpad Komar, who is a missionary in Uzhgorod, Ukraine, our sister city (Corvallis). Arpie works with the children in Chaslivtsi Orphanage to bring Christ into their lives.  His ministry has expanded recently to include the building of a transitional home for orphans as they "graduate" from the orphanage. These kids are left to fend for themselves with little support.  The transitional home will give them a safe place to learn basic life skills such as the love and respect of living in a family unit, cooking, doing laundry, riding a bus, counting change, etc.  All of the things most of us take for granted. 

We invite you to prayerfully consider if you would like to give hope to children who don't have much hope outside of those people - like you -who open their hearts to them.
Monthly donations or one time gifts to this ministry can be made by sending a check made out  to Northside Church with "Arpad Komar" in the memo line.

Therefore, I urge you to look deep into your heart and weigh everything, and give it to God in prayer. And if you have peace for this ministry, then we invite you to be part of our affiliate team.

One thing that I can add is that in God's Word it is clearly indicated that we should somehow support orphans and widows.
